Quakers get no-hit against Dukes

ALLIANCE – Jake Begue pitched a no-hitter as Salem fell 1-0 to Marlington on Monday.

Begue had 12 strikeouts in the win and also had an RBI single.

Noah Barnes pitched 6 1/3 innings to pick up the win for the Blue Devils (7-6, 4-4 ITCL upper tier). Also for Lisbon,. Colin Sweeney had two hits including a double and Jagr Groubert scored two runs.

Dominack Michael pitched a complete game and struck out 15 for the Indians in a losing effort.

LEETONIA-Drew Kleinman hit a go-ahead single in the top of the seventh to rally Sebring past Leetonia 7-6 Monday.

The Trojans scored two runs in the seventh with the help of Kleinman’s hit and two Leetonia errors.

Jerry Billingsley and Diamonte McMullen each had three hits for the Trojans.

Isaac Stecker pitched all seven innings and had two hits for the Bears (1-9 ITCL lower tier).

McDonough and Kaden Davis each had a pair of RBIs for the Rebels (4-8, 3-5 ITCL upper tier).

Also for Crestview, Dylan Hart, Andrew Simmons and Jake Wick all had one hit.

Nathan Garofalo pitched a complete game and took the loss for the Clippers (1-11).

Mineral Ridge’sGreg Strohmeyer nearly matched Allison, throwing a complete game and striking out 11 for the Rams.
