Quakers post win over Beaver Local

WEST POINT – Salem had RBI singles from Hannah Carner and Raegan Meals in a 2-0 victory over Beaver Local on Monday.

Carner recorded nine strikeouts on the mound.

Courtney Messenger had a double for Beaver Local (5-11).

Both teams play today as Salem meets Alliance and Beaver Local hosts Niles.

Kryston Rose hit a double to help the Devils. Cheyanne Gostey added a single.

Alyssa Harris drove home the only run for Leetonia (1-9, 1-8 ITCL lower tier) on a squeeze bunt.

EAST PALESTINE-Sydney Smith hit a walk-off double in the eighth inning to cap a late East Palestine rally and give the Bulldogs a 10-9 win over United Mon onday.

Smith had three hits and five RBIs to lead the Bulldogs (2-12, 1-7 ITCL upper tier).

East Palestine tied the game in the bottom of the seventh on a single by Sadie Walker and a sacrifce fly by Jess Leake. Walker finished with two hits and two RBIs, while Holly Siracuse also had two hits.

United (3-16) got three hits and eight stolen bases from Taylor John and and a two-run single from MacKenzie Firth.

The two teams play at United today.

Lauren Schlueter colleted three hits and four RBIs and Haley Tohm had a double, a single and three RBIs as the Clippers improve to 14-2 overall and 8-1 in the ITCL lower tier.

The Clippers scored 13 runs in the first inning.

Alexys Brooks led the attack with two homers, two singles and four RBIs for Crestview (12-4, 4-3 ITCL upper tier). Adrienne Huston homered singled and doubled, and Autumn Lindsay homered and singled.

Jackson-Milton drops to 6-8 overall and 3-5 in the ITCL upper tier.
