NEGLEY -The Columbiana boys golf team handed East Palestine its first loss of the season with a 161-163 win over the Bulldogs on Tuesday at the East Palestine Country Club.

Jared Wilson sparked the Clippers (6-0) with a 38. Also for Columbiana, Joe Lucci had a 39, Bruce Wiggins 40 and Griffin Williams 44.

For East Palestine (7-1), D.J. Bandy had a 39, Ryen Kemp 40, Phil Gerner 42, Tom Dumbauld 42 and Nick Yarosz 42.

Columbiana 179,

Lowellville 235

COITSVILLE-The Columbiana girls golf team ripped Lowellville 179-235 Tuesday to stay undefeated.

Leading the way for the Clippers (5-0) was Alexa Tringhese with a 35. She was backed up with 46s from Elise Hammond and Hannah Garofalo, while Victoria Bucci shot a 52.

Emily Partika paced the Rockets with a 55.

The Clippers face Ursuline today at Stambaugh Golf Course.

Heartland 194

GUILFORD LAKE -Lisbon’s golf team got the best of Heartland Christian 185-194 on Tuesday at Twin Springs.

For Lisbon, Avery Andric posted a 37, Marcus Nenichka 45, Logan Kress 50 and Branson Brownfield 53.

For Heartland, Nathan Sommers posted a 43, Christian Sommers 48, Glenn Hoffman 51 and Nate Montgomery 52.

McDonald 162,

Leetonia 182

GIRARD-The Leetonia golf team was tripped up by McDonald 162-182 Tuesday at Mahoning Country Club.

For the Bears (6-3), Josh Faulkner led the way with a 36, Hunter Smith 44, Dan Garlough 48, McKensy Gardner 54 and Brandon Custer 54.

For McDonald, Dominic Direnzo 36, Mike Baker 40, Nick Evans 43 and Joe Razzine 43.

Leetonia hosts Southern today at Valley.
