Rebels edge Blue Devils

COLUMBIANA – Crestview edged Lisbon, 185-189, at Copeland Hills on Wednesday.

Crestview improves to 3-2 overall and 1-1 in the ITCL upper tier.

Leaders for the Rebels were Craig Landsberger with a 40, Kaden Davis 44, Taylor Coblentz 48 and Ryan Kost 53.

For Lisbon, Avery Andric and Marcus Nenichka had 45s, Logan Kness 49 and Branson Brownfield 50.

Columbiana 152, United 187

COLUMBIANA – Columbiana’s boys golf team was a 152-187 winner over United on Wednesday at Valley Golf Club.

For the Clippers (2-0), Jared Wilson had a 33, Bruce Wiggins 39, Joe Lucci 40 and Griffin Williams 40.

For United (0-2), Hayden Wilson had a 43, Caleb Berdine 45, Mason Sanders 49 and Isaiah Chestnut 50.

Columbiana is at Jackson-Milton today.


at Leetonia

COLUMBIANA – After playing to a 167-167 tie, McDonald needed a fifth-man tie-breaker to beat Leetonia at Valley on Wednesday.

For McDonald, Mike Baker and Dominic DiRenzo had 40s, Nick Evans 43, Joe Ragazzine 44 and Cheyenne Titus 57.

For Leetoina, Josh Faulkner had a 39, Hunter Smith 40, Corey Valentine 42, Brandon Custer 46 and Dan Garlough 59.

Leetonia (0-2) will play Lowellville today at Valley.

Oak Glen, Heartland Christian at Beaver Local

LISBON – Beaver Local (160) defeated Heartland Christian (209) and Oak Glen (197) on Wednesday at Beaver Meadows.

The low scorer for Beaver Local was Joe Newlin who shot a 35.

For Oak Glen, Trey Reese had a 45 and for Heartland, Joe Siroto totaled a 47.

Beaver Local will play at the Canfield Memorial Open on Monday at Tippecanoe Country Club.

Jackson-Milton 167, South Range 175

BOARDMAN – Jackson-Milton topped South Range 167-175 on Wednesday at Mill Creek Golf Course.

For South Range (0-2), Brooks Thomas had a 45, Tom Roux 45, Damon Brickley 42 and Brycen James 43.

For Jackson-Milton (2-1), Chance Proverbs had a 35, Nick Householder 41, Matt Johns 45 and Tommy Carnes 46.

Bulldog Invitational

CORTLAND – Columbiana’s girls golf team took fourth out of 12 teams on Wednesday at the Lakeview Bulldog Invitational at Tamer Win.

Lakeview won the tournament with a 341. Canfield was second with 347 and Boardman was third with a 350. Columbiana had a 375.

For the Clippers, Alexa Tringhese posted an 86, Ally Moreschi 96, Shannon Marshburn 96 and Elise Hammomd 97.

Beaver Local’s girls golf team finished ninth.

The Beavers shot 435. For the Beavers, Reed McGeehan had a 107, Taylor Plunkett 108, Laurel Meredith 108 and Lauren Plunkett 112.
