Undefeated Bulldogs overtake Blue Devils

GUILFORD LAKE -The East Palestine golf team remained unbeaten on the young season, edging past Jackson-Milton and Lisbon in a Tri-Match Tuesday at Twin Springs. East Palestine totaled 169 strokes, while the BlueJays shot 173 and Lisbon 176.

The Bulldogs (7-0, 4-0 ITCL upper tier) got a pair of 41s from Andy Ellis and Ryan Kemp, while Phil Gerner shot a 43 and D.J. Bandy had a 44.

For Lisbon, Avery Andric was the medalist with a 39, while Noah Barnes had a 43, Branson Brownfield 44 and James Cox 50.

Chance Proverbs and Nick Householder ecah shot 41 to lead Jackson-Milton.

Western Reserve 171, Heartland 173

CANFIELD-Nolan Snyder fired a school-record 31 as the Western Reserve golf team narrowly beat Heartland 171-173 at Diamond Back Golf Course Tuesday.

Snyder was backed up by a 42 from Ethan Grim, a 47 from Brandon Martin and a 52 from Kyle Martin as the Blue Devils improve to 5-0 on the season.

For Heartland Nathan Sommers shot a 42, Joel Sirota and Christian Sommers each shot 43 and Glen Hoffman shot 45.

Columbiana 153, Springfield 199

COLUMBIANA-The Columbiana golf team beat Springfield 153-199 Tuesday at Valley.

Bruce Wiggins led the way for the Clippers (4-0) with a 36.

Also for Columbiana, Jared Wilson carded a 38, Joe Lucci 39 and Griffin Williams 40.

For the Tigers (1-6) John Danks shot a 42, Sara Chaszeyka 51, Tyler Harbert 52 and Corey Karabin 54.

Leetonia 169, American Spirit Academy 224

EAST LIVERPOOL-Leetonia rolled to a 169-224 win over ASA Tuesday at Cedar Hills.

Josh Faulkner paced the Bears (3-2) with a 36, while Corey Valentine shot 41, Hunter Smith 42 and Dan Garlough 50.

For ASA, Matt Brophey shot a 46, Noah Timms 54, Andrew Montgomery 57 and Erica Tenney 69.

Leetonia takes on Mineral Ridge today at Valley.

Columbiana 165, Beaver Local 197

COLUMBIANA-The Columbiana girls golf team fired a team-record 165 en route to a win over Beaver Local Tuesday at Valley.

Elise Hammand, Ally Moreschi and Alexa Tringhese all shot 39 to lead the Clippers. Hannah Garofalo chipped in a 48.

Columbiana has won 18 regular season matches in a row.

For Beaver Local, Reed McGeehan shot a 44, Taylor Plunkett 45, Bekah Kyler 50 and Carsyn Hoppel 56.

The Clippers ake on Western Reserve today at Diamond Back.

West Branch 164, Alliance 173, United 200

SALEM-The West Branch golf team defeated Alliance and United in a tri-match Tuesday at Flying B Golf Course.

Bobby Parsons led the Warriors (2-4, 1-3 NBC) with a 37 and shared medalist honors with Bryce Hood of Alliance.

Also for the Warriors, Blake Glista fired a 41, while Nate Coy and Ben Fitzpatrick each shot 43.

For United, Hayden Wilson shot a 47, Caleb Berdine 48, Zach Morris 52 and Mason Sanders 53.

West Branch hosts Marlington today.

Canfield 156, Austintown Fitch 199

HUBBARD – The Canfield girls golf team beat Austintown Fitch 156-199 Tuesday at Deer Creek Golf Course.

Kerra Loomis led the Cardinals with a 36, followed by Gilliam Cerimele and Christina Cooper both with 38 and Kaci Carpenter with 43.

Jamie Rasor led the Falcons with a 44, followed by Rebeca Castillo with 48, Sam Tofil 51 and Marissa Pezzuolo 56.

The Cardinals host Howland on Friday at Diamondback Golf Course.
