Lisbon captures fifth ITCL White victory over Southern Local

SALINEVILLE — Lisbon’s girls basketball team overcame a sluggish start to post a 60-33 win over Southern Local on Thursday in an Inter-Tri County League White Division encounter.

Karlee Pezzano had 17 points and seven steals to lead the Devils (15-3, 5-3) who were tied with the Indians after the first quarter. Maddie Liberati had nine rebounds, while Izzy Perez produced six assists. Mackenzie Mason had six steals and six boards. Anna Sevek had 14 points for the Indians, 5-15, 2-6 in the ITCL White Division. Riley Felton added 12 points.

Lisbon hosts Beaver Local on Saturday. Southern hosts Heartland on Monday.

BERLIN CENTER –Alexis Hughes had 19 points and Brooke Morris added 11 more as Western Reserve beat Lowellville 44-34 on Thursday.

Maria Mangine had 20 points for the Rockets.

The Devils won the jayvee game as well, 43-12. Morgan Donithan had 10 points for the Devils.

Western Reserve hosts Sebring today as part of a boy-girl doubleheader.

CRESTVIEW — United held off a late Crestview comeback attempt for a 42-40 victory on Thursday.

United led 32-24 heading into the fourth quarter. Crestview outscored the Golden Eagles 16-10 in that frame.

Crestview falls to 8-11, 3-5 in the Inter-Tri County Red Division. United improves to 7-12.

Hannah Mix led the Eagles with a game-high 18 points. Cameron Pierson tallied 11 points, and Haleigh Anderson added six.

For the Rebels, Sydni Bowker produced 16 points (five three-pointers). Emily Ferris had eight points and four steals. Tanner Hoffer recorded six points and 11 rebounds. Hope Halas added three points and three assists.

United also won the jayvee game 43-27. Celeste Hofmeister led the Eagles with 11 points. Crestview’s Preslyn Wolfe had eight.

GREENFORD — A strong first half lifted South Range to a 61-32 victory over Springfield on Thursday.

The Raiders led 36-12 at halftime. South Range improves to 11-8, 8-0 in the Inter-Tri County Red Division.

Maddie Durkin paced South Range with a game-high 29 points. Taylor Naples recorded 14 points, while Bri Modic added seven.

For the Tigers, Haley LaMorticella led with 10 points. Marlie Applegarth produced nine points, and Sara Chaszeyka added five.

South Range also won the jayvee game 48-28. Rachel Maynard led the Raiders with 12 points.

For the Tigers, Aubrianna Mellott led with eight points. Menina Jackson tallied four points.

East Palestine also won the jayvee game 27-13. Juli Jones and Jami Jones led the Bulldogs with six points apiece. Cameron Carlevale led the Tigers with four points.
