Sebring survives Crestview scare

COLUMBIANA — Sebring held Crestview to 25 points in the second half as the Trojans rallied for a 59-54 overtime victory Tuesday.

The Trojans improve to 9-8, while the Rebels move to 1-15.

Robbie Rouse led Sebring with a game-high 24 points. Jason Dickson followed with 15 points.

Crestview built a 29-25 halftime lead and was up 41-39 after three quarters. Sebring tied the score at 50-50 at the end of regulation.

Dalton Palmer paced the Rebels with 21 points and 13 rebounds. Scott Murray added 11 points, Chance Mustake 10 points and four steals and Stephen Barr five assists.

Sebring also won the junior varsity game, 60-40. Jude Riffle and Max Paskevitch topped Crestview with nine points apiece.

Both teams play Friday as Crestview hosts unbeaten and state-ranked South Range and Sebring travels to Western Reserve.

Lowellville 65, Columbiana 55

COLUMBIANA — Jon Chicklowe scored 28 points in leading Lowellville past Columbiana, 65-55, Tuesday.

The Clippers are 6-11 on the season.

Lowellville trailed 25-24 in the first half before the Rockets rallied as Chicklowe and Matt Hvisdak combined for 26 second-half points to highlight a 41-26 run.

Hvisdak finished with 17 points.

Burdette Baker and Jared Wilson guided the Clippers. Baker made all eight of his field goal attempts for 21 points with nine rebounds and Wilson collected 18 points and four assists. Jacob Clark contributed 11 points and seven rebounds.Hunter Zentner dished out five assists.

Lowellville also won the junior varsity game, 43-25. Joe Ballone scored 14 points for the Rockets. Zach Chaffee had six for the Clippers.

The Clippers will host Southern Local on Friday.
