Quakers rally to sting Lisbon late

SALEM–The Salem baseball team staged a big late-inning rally to get past Lisbon 8-5 in baseball action Monday.

The Blue Devils led 5-1 before Salem scored three runs in the sixth and four runs in the seventh to take the victory.

Braydon Gibson had a single and three RBIs to help fuel the Quakers. Logan Wilms added a single and two RBIs.

For Lisbon, Cam Summers went 3-for-4 with an RBI. Marcus Nenichka had two singles and two RBIs. The game was moved from Lisbon to Salem due to unplayable field conditions. Lisbon was still the home team.

The Quakers are at Marlington today. Lisbon hosts Rootstown.

GREENFORD — West Branch got a double, single and an RBI from Brent Alazaus and two hits and two RBIs from T.J. DeShields as the Warriors pounded South Range 11-2 on Monday.

Seth Schroeder added a hit and two RBIs, while Jon Snyder had a double and an RBI.

Anthony Ritter had two hits for the Raiders, 1-1.

West Branch is 1-0.
