SALEM — Carrollton took advantage of six Salem errors during its 8-0 victory on Tuesday.

Brooke Veglia and Clara Janofa each singled for the Quakers.

There was a moment of silence before the game to remember former coach Paul Headland. The Quakers wore mismatched socks at the suggestion of Paul’s son. Headland took Salem Softball to the regional semi-finals in 1997. It is the furthest level that Salem softball has ever reached.
