Quakers dominate Lions

MINERVA –Salem’s volleyball team beat Minerva 25-9, 25-11, 25-15 on Tuesday.

For the Quakers, Kennedy Grimes had four aces and nine digs, Echo Mayer-Kutz added 10 kills and four digs and Taylor Troy added three aces and eight assists. The Quakers are 7-2 and will host Marlington today.

Shelby Wheeler had 10 aces and nine kills for the Lions, 2-6.

In jayvee action, Salem won in two sets. For the Quakers, Hayden Carner had four aces and four kills. Alexis Rossi had six digs.

Columbiana 3,

Lowellville 0

COLUMBIANA–The Columbiana volleyball team made quick work of Lowellville with a 25-8, 25-16, 25-21 victory Wednesday.

For the Clippers, Alexis Cross had 10 kills, 16 digs and one ace. Emily Gosselin had 25 points, 15 digs, 12 assists and four aces. Morgan Highley had 18 digs, nine points, four aces and three kills. Belle Cope had 11 digs and eight points. Marisa McDonough had six kills.

The Columbiana jayvee team beat Lowellville 25-0, 25-14. Grace Witmer had 33 points, six aces and two kills for the Clippers.

Columbiana hosts East Palestine today.
