Rebels notch seventh victory

COLUMBIANA–The Crestview girls basketball team defeated United 40-32 Saturday.

The Rebels improve to 7-3 overall.

Krista Perry led the Crestview scoring with 11 points. Tanner Hoffer had eight points and seven rebounds, while Emma Smith had eight points and six rebounds.

United was led by 14 points from Celeste Powers.

The eagles won the jayvee game 32-28. Kyleigh Daggy had nine points for the Eagles. Payton Huff had 10 points for the Rebels.

Crestview hosts Springfield Thursday.

COLUMBIANA–Behind a big 27-point effort from Dakota Hill, the United boys basketball team downed Crestview 63-46 Saturday.

Kaden Smith added 15 points for the Eagles, who improve to 7-1 overall. Landon Baker contributed 10 points and eight rebounds.

Drake Golden and Scott Murray each scored 12 points to lead Crestview.

United won the jayvee game 49-40. Keaton Baker led the way with 19 points. The Eagles are back in action Saturday when they host West Branch. Crestview takes on Southern at the Sebring Holiday Tournament on Friday.

BERLIN CENTER–The Columbiana girls basketball team held off a late surge from Western Reserve to emerge with a 63-62 victory Saturday.

The Clippers led 52-30 going into the fourth quarter before the Blue Devils outsoced Columbiana 32-11 in the final frame.

Columbiana improves to 9-0 overall. Alexis Cross totaled 22 points and 12 rebounds to lead the Clippers. Kayla Muslovski added 15 points and six steals. Taylor Hall had 12 points.

For Western Reserve, Alexis Hughes led the way with 18 points and nine rebounds. Kennedy Miller added 15 points.

Western Reserve won the jayvee game 62-34. Emma Heater and Kendra DeZee each had 11 points for the Blue Devils. Karissa Tringhese had 11 points for the Clippers.

Western Reserve takes on Lisbon Saturday. Columbiana hosts Beaver Local Thursday.

ALLIANCE–The South Range boys basketball team remained perfect with a 61-42 victory over Mogadore Saturday at Mount Union in the Alliance Christmas Classic.

The Raiders (8-0) received a balanced scoring effort led by 13 points from Mike Cunningham and 11 points each from Jaxon Anderson and Chris Brooks. Brennan Toy and Brandon Youngs each added eight points.

South Range is at Carrollton Wednesday.

Izzy Lamparty led the Rauders with 22 points. Dani Vuletich added 18 points.

South Range won the jayvee game 46-30. Brooke Sauerwein led the Raiders with 16 points.
