BELOIT — Peyton Alazaus’ RBI single in the bottom of the seventh linning ifted West Branch to a 10-9 win over Louisville in an offense-filled Northeastern Buckeye Conference game on Monday.

West Branch (12-0, 6-0) produced 20 hits with Grace Heath leading the way with four hits including two doubles and three RBIs. Kelsey Byers had two singles, a double and three RBIs. Jordan Anderson chipped in three hits and an RBI.

West Branch is at Minerva today.

CARROLLTON — Zoe Drake had two doubles and a single to lead Carrollton to a 5-0 win over Salem on Monday.

Sydney Kline, Taylor Thorpe, Brooke Veglia and Jessica Slocum all had hits for Salem (11-4).

East Palestine 12, Southern 1

UNITY — A four-RBI game from East Palestine’s Taylor Hostetter helped the Bulldogs beat Southern 12-1 on Monday in Eastern Ohio Athletic Conference play.

Harlie Dietrich had a double and two RBIs also for the Bulldogs.

Jade McBride had six strikeouts on the mound for East Palestine.

For Southern, Erin Boyle and Riley Felton had singles.

East Palestine is 8-2 overall and 7-1 in league play. The two teams meet again at Southern today.

COLUMBIANA–Alyssa Tohm had nine strikeouts and led Columbiana to a 12-1 victory over Warren JFK on Monday.

Tphm had two singles at the plate for the Clippers. Amanda Mellott had a triple and a single. Marisa McDonough hit a triple and Alexis Cross a double.

Columbiana is now 9-4 and will host Toronto today.

GREENFORD –South Range’s Bree Kohler and Madison Weaver combined on a no-hitter for South Range led the Raiders to a 10-0 five-inning win over Crestview on Monday.

Kohler struck out eight over four innings. Weaver pitched a scoreless fifth.

Kohler helped her cause with a home run and a single.

Hope Thomas added a double, single and an RBI for the Raiders. Hanna Dennison hit a home run. Drew Feren and Marlaina Slabach each had two singles.

South Range is now 12-4 and will travel to Youngstown Ursuline today.

Hannah Deland added a single, triple and four RBIs. Autumn Oehlstrom had two hits and two RBIs. Kalie Eastek had a triple and a single for the Bears.

SEBRING — Waterloo beat Sebring 15-2 and 24-0 in a Mahoning Valley Athletic Conference doubleheader on Monday.

Springfield 15, Jackson-Milton 0

NEW MIDDLETOWN–The Springfield softball teams bats were alive in a 15-0 win over Jackson-Milton in five innings Monday.

Jacqueline Kish only allowed the Blue Jays to three hits.

Makenzy Capouellez led the Tigers offense with a triple and a single. Kish blasted two doubles and had three RBIs. Molly Pontius chipped in a double and two singles.

Springfield is now 11-3 on the season and 8-2 in Mahoning Valley Athletic Conference play.
