Warriors stay perfect in NBC

BELOIT–A ten strikeout performance from Gino Sabatine on the mound for West Branch led them to an 8-0 win over Carrollton on Friday.

Tristan Balland had a double and two RBIs for West Branch. Jake Lyons finished with a double and a single.

West Branch is 10-1 and 6-0 in Northeastern Buckeye Confernce play. West Branch will travel to Kiski Prep today.

ALLIANCE–Salem’s baseball team fell to Alliance 13-3 on Friday.

Salem is now 6-4 and will travel to Ravenna Southeast today.

Western Reserve 0

STRUTHERS– An RBI double from Sprinfield’s Mitchel Seymour was the difference as the Tigers beat Western Reserve 1-0 on Friday at Cene Field.

Brandon Walters had two hits and scored the lone run for Springfield. Jon Ritter had a double for the Tigers.

Dom Velasquez and Brycen Jackson each had two hits for Western Reserve.

Springfield is now 8-2 and remains perfect in the Mahoning Valley Athletic Conference at 6-0.

Western Reserve is 6-3 and 4-1 in conference play.

The two teams meet again today at Cene Field.

HUBBARD–The Columbiana baseball team was routed by Hubbard 11-1 Friday.

The Clippers fall to 4-8 overall, while Hubbard improves to 8-7.

Evan Kenneally drove in Columbiana’s lone run. A.J. Perkins and Hunter Zentner both singled.

McDonald 7, Sebring 1

STRUTHERS–Sebring’s baseball team fell to McDonald 7-1 in Mahoning Valley Athletic Conference Classic action on Friday at Cene Park.

Sebring will face Lowellville today at Cene Park today.

Brookfield 11, Crestview 7

BROOKFIELD –Brookfield beat Crestview 11-7 on Friday.

The Rebels are 4-5 and travel to Brooke today.

Heartland Christian 5, Wellsville 1

WELLSVILLE–Heartland Christian picked up its first win of the season over Wellsville 5-1 on Friday at Hammond Park.

Zach Labon led the Lions with a double and a single with two RBIs. Aaron Gault added a double and a single with an RBI. Joey Donofrio chipped in a double.

For Wellsville, Justin Thirtyacre had a double and a single at the plate. Cole Corbin added a single and a double with an RBI.

Heartland Christian is now 1-5 and will travel to Warren J.F.K for doubleheader action today.

Wellsville drops to 3-6 and will travel to United on Monday.
