Rebels headed to playoffs

COLUMBIANA –The Rebels are pointed in the direction of the playoffs.

Using a 173-yard, three-touchdown rushing performance from Dylan Huff, Crestview downed Wheeling Linsly 33-13 on Friday.

The Rebels finished the season 6-3 (the win over Youngstown Chaney did not count in state’s computer ratings) and await their fate. The likely opponent appears to be unbeaten Gates Mills Gilmour Academy. The Rebels will be either the No. 4 or No. 5 seed as will the Lancers depending on the results of today’s games.

The Rebels led 14-0 at halftime thanks to a 39-yard touchdown run from Huff and a 23-yard touchdown run from Ethan Powell.

Linsly got on the board in the third quarter, but two more Huff touchdowns coupled with a Brandon Yanssens field goal and a safety sealed the result.
