Salem comeback clinches EBC share
CARROLLTON — Salem almost let the Eastern Buckeye Conference title slip through its fingers but the Quakers came back from two sets down to stop Carrollton 23-25, 23-25, 25-19, 25-17, 15-11 on Thursday.
Salem (19-3, 11-1) needed a win over the Warriors to clinch a share of the title. Co-champions Marlington finished off its regular season by beating Minerva on Thursday.
Salem, ranked sixth in the state in the Div. III, is the top seed in the Salem Div. III sectional-district and the Quakers will host the winner of South Range and East Palestine on Thursday in a sectional final.
