Blue Devils clinch share

LEETONIA — Lisbon wrapped up at least a share of the Eastern Ohio Athletic Conference title by topping Leetonia 32-0 in five innings on Monday.

Lisbon improved to 14-0 and 11-0 in the EOAC.

Mya Emmerling threw a perfect game with six strikeouts for the winners.

Justyce Vrable had five hits and five RBIs for the Devils. Kenedy Vrable had four hits and five RBIs. McKenna Dailey had five RBIs.

The two teams play again today at Lisbon.

South Range 10,

Chase 1

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. — South Range got two hits each from Kali Dudich, Maddie Helon, Jillian Strecansky and Hanna Dennison in a 10-1 win over Chase of Forest City, North Carolina to begin its spring break trip on Monday at the Myrtle Beach Sports Complex.

South Range is 10-4 and faces Olean at 10 a.m. today.

Bree Kohler had 10 strikeouts in the circle for the Raiders.

NEW MIDDLETOWN — Springfield Local’s softball team secured a 4-2 win over Western Reserve on Monday in Mahoning Valley Athletic Conference play.

Marlie Applegarth had two singles for the Tigers (8-6, 5-4).

Makenzy Capouellez, Molly Pontius, Jacqueline Kish and Kaelen Yemma each hit a double.

SALINEVILLE — East Palestine came through with six runs in the sixth inning to defeat Southern Local 7-3 on Monday.

East Palestine moves to 9-4 and 7-3 in the league.

Delaney Early walked with the bases loaded in the sixth frame and then Jocelyn Fristik followed with a two-run single to push the Bulldogs into the lead.

For Southern, Erin Boyle had two hits and an RBI. Aubri Mellott added two hits.

The two teams play at East Palestine today.

LEETONIA–The Lisbon baseball team routed Leetonia 12-2 on Monday. The Blue Devils are now 8-8 overall and 4-5 in the Eastern Ohio Athletic Conference.

Blake Reynolds, Logan Bell, Justin Sweeney and Tyler Welsh all collected two hits for Lisbon. Sweeney had two RBIs. Bell tripled.

Sefton Houlette and Brock Simpson each had two hits for Leetonia.

The two teams play against today at Lisbon.

SALINEVILLE–The East Palestine baseball team breezed past Southern 10-1 on Monday.

The Bulldogs are now 7-7 overall and 4-5 in the Eastern Ohio Athletic Conference.

Jordon Fristik led the way for East Palestine with four hits, while Cooper Vance collected three hits and two doubles. Dalton Vance pitched a complete game with 14 strikeouts.

Brock Smalley and Josh Pratt each had two hits for Southern.

NEW MIDDLETOWN–The Springfield baseball team remained unbeaten in conference play with a 3-1 victory over Western Reserve Monday.

The Tigers improve to 12-1 overall and 8-0 in the Mahoning Valley Athletic Conference. The Blue Devils fall to 8-5, 5-3 MVAC.

Shane Eynon picked up the win, allowing one unearned run over 6 1/3 innings.

Brannon Brungard was 2-for-3 with an RBI, while Nick Slike was 1-for-2 with an RBI and a steal.

For the Blue Devils, Jordan Powell had a double.
