Devils show power

COLUMBIANA — Lisbon’s perfect start to the season continued with a 13-7 win over Columbiana on Wednesday in Eastern Ohio Athletic Conference play.

Autumn Oehlstrom had two home runs, a double, a single and six RBIs for the winners, 8-0 and 6-0 in the EOAC. Kenedy Vrable added a home run, double, single and an RBI. Justyce Vrable had three hits and an RBI. McKenna Dailey had a home run, single and two RBIs.

Alyssa Tohm had three hits including a triple and an RBI. Tori Long had a double, single and two RBIs, while Kennedy Fullum had two RBIs. Julia Rapp had three hits including a double.

Columbiana is 4-5 and 2-3. The Clippers are at Western Reserve today.

LEETONIA — United turned its fortunes around with a 18-7 win over Leetonia on Wednesday.

For the Eagles, Brooke Smith had a home run, while Savannah Burton had three hits including a double. Morgan Crowl had a triple, while Bre Warner had a double. Kassidy Everhart and Colby Burton had two hits each.

United is at Minerva today.

JEFFERSON — West Branch scored six runs in the first inning and beat Jefferson, 8-2, Wednesday.

Peyton Alazaus went 3-for-4 with an RBI Riley Mesler drove in four runs with two hits for the Warriors. Sydney Mercer had two doubles and two RBIs and Grace Heath had two singles and an RBI.

West Branch (9-2) will host Alliance today. Jefferson drops to 6-3.

CAMPBELL — Crestview pounded 27 hits, including a home run by Kaedyn Sutton to deep center field, to beat Campbell Memorial, 17-0, in five innings Wednesday.

Sutton and Skyler Mattern each had four hits and four RBIs. Karsyn Moore had four hits and two RBIs, while Haley Eskra and Madi Wick each had three hits.

Eskra tossed a two-hitter to pick up her second win of the season.

Crestview, which is 13-2 overall and 6-0 in the All-American Conference, will host Edgewood on Saturday.
