Christine Laurel Rinto exchanges vows with Matthew Jason Mapus
Christine Laurel Rinto became the bride of Matthew Jason Mapus on July 31 at Huntington Beach Park in Bay Village.
The Rev. Virginia Birks of Minerva officiated the ceremony held on the park bluff overlooking the beach and Lake Erie. The couple was attended by the bride’s sister, Caitlin AnnRuth Rinto of Antwerp, Belgium.
Following the ceremony, a celebratory dinner was held at Pier W Restaurant in Lakewood. he next evening, an open house/reception for the couple was held in the open air Bier Garten of the Forest City Brewery located in Tremont. For entertainment, the Cleveland Rotary provided “urban hayrides” on its RedLine-GreenWay Trail that runs through the Tremont area of Cleveland.
The new Mrs. Mapus is the daughter of Conrad and RuthAnn Rinto of Weathervane Farm, Winona. She is a graduate of Minerva High School and holds a bachelor’s of fine arts in graphic design from Bowling Green State University and a master’s in business administration from Cleveland State University. She is employed as a communications design specialist at Cleveland State University and owns a graphic design and marketing business.
Mr. Mapus is the son of the late Richard Mapus and Kay Mapus of Port Clinton. He graduated from Clyde High School and earned a bachelor’s of science degree in chemistry from Heidelberg University and an MBA from Cleveland State University. He is a product manager for SeaLand Chemical Corporation and is a co-owner of Forest City Brewery Inc.
The couple resides in Bay Village.
