First Friends Church Quaker Bells presenting concert

The First Friends Church Quaker Bells will present “You’ve Got A Friend in Me,” a handbell concert featuring selections from some of the best-known and best-loved movie themes of all time. The performance is open to the public and will be held at 6:30 p.m., Sept. 29. All proceeds from a free will offering with help offset costs of the choir’s upcoming trip and musical performances at Carnegie Hall and Radio City Music Hall in New York City. On Nov. 30, the choir will perform preceding The Christmas Spectacular Starring the Radio City Rockettes, an annual musical holiday stage show presented at Radio City Music Hall in New York City. On Dec. 1, The Quaker Bells will be joining 300 accomplished handbell performers at the Stern Auditorium, Carnegie Hall, in New York City. Salem First Friends Church is located at 1028 Jennings Ave., Salem. The concert will be held in the in the sanctuary.
