When’s fall supposed to start?

The start of fall is officially just 13 days away, but you would never know that by the temperature reading registered at the Huntington National Bank in Lisbon shortly after 3 p.m. Tuesday. Although the bank’s thermometer is likely two degrees higher than the actual reading, it was still unseasonally hot yesterday by anyone’s standards. The mini-heat wave is expected to continue for the next week, with the high temperature hitting the low to mid 80s over that period. (Salem News photo by Tom Giambroni)
