Newgarden Avenue to close for sewer work on Oct. 24

SALEM — City Utilities Commission members announced Newgarden Avenue will be closed for at least three weeks on both sides of the railroad tracks beginning Oct. 24 for a sewer line project.

Motorists will have access to Mullins, Railroad and Prospect streets and trucks coming in and out of American Standard and Campf’s Trucking will have access to their lots.

The closing is part of the Snyder Road sanitary sewer line project and is necessary for the boring under the railroad tracks and installation of the sewer casing and sewer pipe.
