Two roofers injured in fall

LISBON — Robert Flory of Robert Flory Construction and one of his employees fell from scaffolding on Thursday while preparing to do some roof work on a house at 313 W. Washington St.

The accident occurred at the 11:42 a.m. when some of the scaffolding erected at the 2-1/2 story home broke, according to fire Chief Paul Gresh Jr. The fire department set up a landing zone off Dickey Drive, and Flory and an employee named Nate were flown by medical helicopter to St. Elizabeth Hospital in downtown Youngstown.

Gresh Jr. said they appeared to have sustained serious but non-life threatening injuries.
