Wreaths Across America comes to Columbiana

The wreaths for the Wreaths Across America event on Saturday were escorted into town by the highway patrol Monday. Columbiana is participating in Wreaths Across America, a

national program that places wreaths on the graves of veterans every December. This year’s event will take place at noon Saturday at Columbiana Cemetery, where 934 veterans

are buried. The American Legion and Legion Riders each donated $1,000 and donations have been made from various individuals and organizations in Columbiana. Shown, from left, are Ken Allcorn, commander of American Legion Post 290, first vice commander Dick Houp and Hanover Logistics Trucking driver Jason Umieby after a successful delivery

of the wreaths for Saturday’s event.
