SRMC adjusts hours of Lisbon Primary Care

SALEM — As part of its preparedness planning to fight the coronavirus, Salem Regional Medical Center is adjusting the hours of operation for its SRMC Primary Care — Lisbon practice. Effective today, the Lisbon office will be open on Tuesdays and Thursdays only.

This will enable SRMC to more efficiently utilize its primary care staff to care for future patients during the nation’s COVID-19 outbreak.

Patients with appointments scheduled with Dr. Anna Orlando may keep their appointment on a Tuesday or Thursday. Those wishing to continue their care during this temporary closure, including patients seeking care for minor illnesses or injuries, are encouraged to schedule appointments at one of SRMC’s other primary care practice locations listed below:

Telehealth (virtual) visits available

Patients of SCH Professional Corporation practices can now see their providers online in the privacy of their own home by using the FollowMyHealth® Patient Portal.

This telehealth service allows patients to have a secure and easy way to receive care from their healthcare team in a live, virtual visit using a smartphone (iPhone or Android), tablet or computer. Telehealth appointments can be scheduled Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. For more information about how to schedule a telehealth appointment, call 330-332-7807.

Acute flu & coronavirus clinic at SRMC

Patients experiencing flu or respiratory symptoms, including fever, cough or shortness of breath; or who have a risk of exposure based on the CDC’s coronavirus screening criteria may be seen at a special clinic at SRMC. The Acute Flu & Coronavirus Clinic is open Monday-Friday, from 9:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m., and accessible through SRMC’s Surgery Center entrance.

No appointments are needed and the clinic is available to any area patients over the age of 15, who are exhibiting symptoms of a respiratory infection.

Patients visiting the clinic should enter the hospital campus from Pershing Street and park in the outpatient surgery parking lot at the east end of the campus. All patients visiting the clinic should enter through the Surgery Center entrance. Patients experiencing significant symptoms of the coronavirus-19 should go to the nearest emergency room or call 911.
