WIC lends helping hand

Columbiana County WIC provided program participants with $20 vouchers Wednesday to purchase produce from local farms markets. A total of 300 vouchers were distributed. Catalpa Grove Farm and Dillon Fruit Farm were available with produce. WIC is also celebrating World Breastfeeding Awareness Month and is providing information to pregnant and breastfeeding women. The WIC theme for World Breastfeeding Week (August 1-7) is “Support Breastfeeding For a Healthier Planet.” The Cribs for Kids program of Columbiana County provided information on safe sleep practices and

distributed cribettes and safe sleep kits to eligible participants as well.
