West Branch board approves pay raises for non-union employees
BELOIT – The West Branch school has completed its negotiations with school faculty and staff by approving the salary schedule for confidential employees for the 2021 fiscal year.
The board approved a 2 percent increase for all the employees not represented by a union. The increase is the same given to those in the teacher and classified unions.
In other business, the board accepted the resignation of Hannah Crogan as an aide effective Sept. 14 and hired Daren Schaefer and Shannon Etto as custodians.
The board also recalled Gwynne Thomas as 3,5-hour cashier and Janette Bowen as a 3-hour cook’s helper, as well as reassigned Holly Zion-Morrow as an aide due to increased need.
Also at the meeting, the board granted supplemental contracts for the 2020-2021 school year to Tracy Hinkle for high school Academic Challenge, Diane Uyselt for senior class advisor, Heidi Wilhelm for middle school Power of the Pen, Brendan Klaus for varsity assistant football coach and Greg Sharp for vocational agriculture.
Additionally the board approved Jennifer Rohaley and Tina Sanor as ticket takers and Patti Flickinger (coordinator), Alyssa Lanzo (coordinator), Abbey Ausnehmer, Karen Coffee, Tonya Edie, Kylie Luca and Tiffany Woods for the 2020-2021 latchkey program as needed.
The next regular board meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m. Oct. 15.
