Recyclables dumpsters moved

David Weir of Lisbon was one of several local residents who showed up Wednesday to dispose of his household recyclables only to find the drop-off dumpsters behind the county Educational Service Center were no longer there. The dumpsters were moved that morning to the area behind the county elections board and next to the Dollar General. County Commissioner Tim Weigle said the Solid Waste District for Columbiana, Carroll and Harrison counties did this at the request of the ESC because of problems with the parking lot and space restrictions. Weir found out about the move only after asking around and was able to dispose of his recyclable materials. (Salem News photo by Tom Giambroni)
