SALEM– Salem Regional Medical Center is warning the public that fraudulent calls appearing to originate from the hospital are being made to local residents. These calls appear to come from “Salem Hospital” to households that use caller ID. The calls vary in nature, from asking residents about their credit status or hospital insurance coverage, to asking who their doctor is or what their symptoms are.

SRMC does not engage in the use of these types of calls and encourages residents who receive a call of this nature to immediately report the incident to the local police department.
