New Salem officer

New part-time Salem Police Patrolman Samantha Collins recites her oath of office administered by Salem Mayor John Berlin while accompanied by her mom, Susan Erwin, and her children, from left, Carson, Cambree and Calista Wednesday morning. Collins, her husband, Marcus, and their children, reside in East Liverpool, where she graduated high school in 2009. A recent graduate of the Youngstown State University Police Academy, she’s working on an associate degree in criminal justice at Eastern Gateway Community College.
