SRMC plans COVID vaccinations

Salem Regional Medical Center (SRMC) will be administering the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine at three area locations in April:

— In Salem: April 21 and 28 at Salem Regional Medical Center, starti ng at 8 a.m.

— In Columbiana: April 21 from noon to 6 p.m. and April 28 from 7 a.m. to noon at the Columbiana Family Care Center, located at Firestone Farms TownCenter in Columbiana, 116 Carriage Drive.

— In Damascus: April 26 from 9 a.m. to noon at SRMC Primary Care in Damascus, 28886 U.S. Route 62.

Those who are 18 and over should call SRMC’s Covid-19 vaccine registration line at 330-332-7511 to register for an appointment at their choice of one of the three locations. Callers must provide their name, phone number, birthdate, and specify what clinic location they would like to attend.

Vaccine appointments can also be requested online by accessing SRMC’s website at https://www.salemregional.com/coronavirus-information. Users must complete the Covid-19 Vaccine Schedule Request form and click “submit request.”

There is no charge to receive the COVID-19 vaccination. All vaccine recipients must be age 18 and older and will be asked to provide a government-issued ID upon arrival at each location. No walk-in vaccinations will be given.

The Moderna vaccine requires a second dose approximately 28 days after the first dose. Second dose scheduling information will be provided at each vaccine clinic location.
