Even though most schools are beginning to slowly do stage shows and concerts, it is still a challenge because of current covid restrictions. The music department at West Branch has used the restrictions in a positive manner in this spring’s production of “Cinderella.”

Normally the seating capacity West Branch is 800 guests. Current Covid restrictions only allow 200 tickets.

For most musical productions the department produces only three or four performances. The directors have decided to host eight performances to accommodate the normal amount of tickets.

Director, John Zamarelli said, “If we are doing a double amount of performances why not double cast the show to feature more of our talented  actors and singers. We can use this pandemic in a positive way, allowing more students to have the opportunity of experiencing a main role in the show.”

Each cast will perform four of the eight shows.

The play will be staged Wednesday through Sunday. Show dates are: 6 p.m. Wednesday (Cast B); 6 p.m. Thursday (Cast A); 7 p.m. Friday (B); noon Saturday (A); 4 p.m. Saturday (B); 8 p.m Saturday (A); 2 p.m. Sunday (A); 7 p.m. Sunday (B).

Adult tickets are $12 and student and senior tickets are $10. Tickets can only be purchased online at wbmusic.org. All seats are reserved. Masks are expefted and seats are socially distanced.
