Boys Scout Troop 22 to build flower beds around village sign

NEW WATERFORD– Boy Scout Troop 22 asked for council’s approval to build flower beds around the village welcome sign and Presbyterian Church bell monument during council Sept. 7.

The project will begin in October with a completion goal set for March.

In other news, contractors will start replacing old water lines along Taylor Avenue and New England Square during the month of October.

Some residents may lose water for a few hours while pipes are being connected.

The project will begin in October and should be finished by February.

In other matters, two EMTs were appointed. Monique Anderson and McKenzie Garret joined the New Waterford EMS roster.

Regarding village property, Council completed the first reading to vacate the 10-foot alley on the property of New Life Fellowship. Vacating the alley way will unify land parcels, allowing New Life Fellowship to move forward with future plans.
