Lisbon woman struck by pickup
LISBON – A 30-year-old Lisbon woman was seriously injured Monday morning after she was struck by a pickup in Madison Township.
According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Glendon Wells, 78, Wellsville, was driving a 1998 Chevrolet pickup northbound on state Route 45 at about 9:33 a.m. Monday, while Faith-Anne Schorr-Irwin, was walking southbound on the side of state Route 45 next to the northbound lane.
The patrol believes Schorr-Irwin darted into the path of the pickup and was struck. She was flown with serious injuries by helicopter to St. Elizabeth Hospital. Wells was not injured.
The West Point Fire Department assisted at the scene, which closed the roadway for about 30 minutes.
