Salem Halloween parade set Oct. 27

SALEM — Salem City Councilman Dennis Plegge announced this year’s Halloween parade will be held at 7 p.m. Oct. 27, kicking off from the Salem Memorial Building and moving west on East State Street and ending on South Broadway, led by the Salem High School marching band. The event is a little different this year, with a different route and no costume judging.

A separate trunk or treat event is being held at 6 p.m. Oct. 28 at the Salem AMVETS Post 45 hosted by the Sons of AMVETS, at 750 S. Broadway, where costume judging will take place.
