SRMC to host Pink Out in Columbiana Saturday
COLUMBIANA — Salem Regional Medical Center Foundation will hold Pink Out at 101 Town Center Ave. in Firestone Farms from 5 until 8 p.m. Saturday.
Multiple businesses throughout Firestone Farms Town Center will hold special events and sales to promote breast cancer awareness. SRMC Director Amy Reed said each shop will have their own special event such as a chalk contest for children.
Pink Out is open to the public and will be held rain or shine. The event is intended to increase awareness about how breast cancer affects women.
Walk-in mammograms will be done at SRMC’s Imaging Center from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. No appointment or doctors orders are needed. There will also be an illuminary lighting in honor of breast cancer survivors.
Other highlights include specialty food and drinks, live music, a Pink Cancer Survivor Fashion Show and raffle items.
Forty raffle items will be on display. Ticket prices are $1 for each, $5 for six or $15 for 25. Winners will be drawn Monday.
“It affects so many women,” Reed remarked.
Salem Regional Medical Center is a world class cancer care provider. The event has been successful in the past and the SRMC Foundation looks forward to a special evening at Firestone Farms.
