Salem Super Cruise slated to return to the city June 5-8

SALEM — The annual Salem Super Cruise is set to park in Salem for four days of family fun this June.

This year’s cruise will be held June 5 through 8, with the annual order to “start your engines” set to be given by Mayor Cyndi Baronzzi Dickey at 7 p.m. June 5 in the municipal parking lot across the street from the Timberlanes Complex officially kicking off the 2025 Salem Super Cruise. Cruising will begin at noon Thursday. The Salem High School Pride of Salem band will play the National Anthem immediately prior to the official start at 6:55 p.m., and Along for the Ride will be performing at the Broadway Stage from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m.

In addition to daily activities, the cruise will feature several activities all four days including: a four-day 50/50 drawing; a four-day Chinese auction; a $500 beef and pork raffle sponsored by Moore’s farm; and a vendor craft show at the corner of Pershing and Broadway. As in years past, super cruise T-shirts will be available at a cost of $15 for all sizes in red, blue, black, neon yellow, and pink, and can be purchased ahead of the cruise at Liebe Wein.

This year will also feature free transportation between Salem and Columbiana by the Quakertown Trolley and Columbiana Clipper on Saturday, June 7 from 3 to 10 p.m. Pickup and drop-off locations in Salem will be Tractor Supply and the City Hall parking lot, while pickup and drop-off in Columbiana will be at Firestone Farms.

Friday’s activities will include: valve cover racing from 4 to 8 p.m. on South Lundy; an antique car show at Centennial Park from 5 to 8 p.m. sponsored by the parks department and Tri-State Antique Car Club; music by RDNA, who will be making their Super Cruise debut, from 7 to 10 p.m. on the Broadway Stage, and cruising downtown all day.

Saturday’s activities will include: the Superkids Soapbox Derby at 9 a.m., a car show at Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.; valve cover racing from 2 to 8 p.m. on South Lundy; the annual garden tractor pull at 2 p.m. on South Broadway; music by the Memphis Soul Brew band from 3 to 6 p.m. on the Broadway Stage, followed by the SB Music from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m. on the Broadway Stage, and cruising downtown all day.

The cruise will wind down Sunday with the Show & Shine Car Show sponsored by Nick’s Auto Body from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Municipal Parking Lot across the street from them Timberlanes lot, with trophies to be awarded for best in show, mayor’s choice, sponsor’s choice, and over 20 other categories, and the first 100 entrants will receive dash plaques. Immediately following the show, the drawings will be held for the annual four-day 50/50 raffle and the Moore Farms $500 beef and pork raffle at 3 p.m., and the Christina Langen & House Party band will perform from 1 to 4 p.m. on the Broadway Stage.

For any vendors looking to participate in this year’s cruise the cost to rent a space for a craft booth this year will be $75, to secure a rental or for questions call 330-420-8537.

Those who want to get a jumpstart on the automotive excitement can attend a special pre-kickoff at Salem West Healthcare Center from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday June 4. Participants will receive a dash plaque, with three vehicles to be named first through third place as resident’s choice. There will be food available for purchase on sight and a Chinese auction and 50/50 raffle. There is no registration fee.
