Go Wild in the Park presenting snakes and turtles program July 26

SALEM — Would you like to see a live, 50 pound snapping turtle? Here’s your chance. “Go Wild in the Park,” co-sponsored by the Salem Parks & Recreation Department and the Salem Public Library, is bringing back last year’s popular snakes and turtles program at 6:30 p.m., July 26 in pavilion #9 at Waterworth Memorial Park.

Beaver Creek Wildlife Education Center volunteer and former teacher Kathy Cattrell welcomes those interested of all ages to attend. Learn how to identify the friendly from the unfriendly, where reptiles can be found and how they survive.
