Honoring the memory of Lantz Bricker
Lantz Bricker was a 1999 Salem alumnus and a varsity athlete, playing soccer and baseball, a varsity athlete. After losing Bricker in an accident, his friends and family decided to establish a scholarship that would memorialize the kind of player and person that he was while helping young athletes as they enter the next stage of their lives. Many thanks go out to the Salem cornhole coordinators, Mike Debarr, Chad Copacia, Kenny Donnelly, Matt Wolf and Molly and Frank Copacia as they have worked on keeping a small piece of Bricker alive with all of their contributions to the scholarship fund. The recipient of this year’s Lantz Bricker Memorial Scholarship is Braydon Gibson. He was a varsity soccer and baseball player as well as a captain in both sports. Gibson will attend Baldwin Wallace University this fall where he will be a part of its football team.
