Leetonia HS ’66 changes luncheon site

LEETONIA — The Leetonia High School Class of 1966 has changed its monthly lunch site. Classmates will meet at 12:45 p.m. Wednesday at the Old Towne Country Grill in Leetonia.

Mile Branch Grange to hold soup sale this week

ALLIANCE — Mile Branch Grange will hold its monthly drive-thru soup sale from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday at 495 Knox School Road. Cost is $6 per quart. Soup choices are broccoli cheese and vegetable beef. Soup must be preordered by noon on Jan. 9 by calling 330-821-8023 to leave your name, phone number, type of soup and number of quarts.

Calla Community Church soup sale planned Friday

CANFIELD — Calla Community Church’s annual soup sale begins at 4 p.m. Friday. Choices are stuffed pepper and vegetable beef barley. Cost is $6 per quart. Fresh baked bread is also available for $2 per loaf. To pre-orders call 330-501-1597. The church is located at 6482 W. Calla Road.

Benefit dinner, auction to be held Saturday in Lisbon

LISBON — The spaghetti dinner benefit and Chinese auction for Melody Cox DeWitt will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday at the First United Methodist Church, 114 E. Washington St. The meal includes spaghetti, salad, bread, dessert and beverage. Cost is $8 for adults and $6 for children 12 and under. Carryouts are available.

Leetonia American Legion to host breakfast Sunday

LEETONIA — The public is invited to breakfast from 7 to 10 a.m. Sunday at Leetonia American Legion. Traditional breakfasts and haystacks are available. Cost is $5 each.

Aut Mori Grotto pancake breakfast set for Jan. 26

YOUNGSTOWN — The monthly pancake breakfast will be served from 9 a.m. to noon Jan. 26 at Aut Mori Grotto, 563 N. Belle Vista Ave. The menu offers link sausage, scrambled eggs, sausage gravy and biscuits, potatoes, coffee, juice, and all-you-can-eat pancakes. Cost is $6 for adults, $3 for children under 12 and free for under 3. For more information call 330-519-1579.

Cardinal Chili Cook-Off slated for Feb. 8

CANFIELD — The third annual Cardinal Chili Cook-Off will be held from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Feb. 8 at Canfield High School, 100 Cardinal Drive. The categories include hot and spicy, thick and hearty, unconventional and people’s choice. Judges will award a $20 cash prize and a trophy to the winner in each category. Once the judging is complete, the chili dinner will be open to the public.

The deadline for entry is Jan. 18. Each chili entrant will also receive two free tickets to the cook-off dinner. The menu features chili, cornbread, Italian bread, crackers, dessert and choice of beverage. Entrants must pick up their roaster picked up by 6:30 p.m.

SRMC launches re-designed website

SALEM — Salem Regional Medical Center (SRMC) recently launched its newly re-designed website at www.salemregional.com.

According to Michele Hoffmeister, SRMC director of public relations, the new site is focused on helping users get the information they need as quickly and easily as possible.

“We understand that many patients and visitors use our website to learn about our services and physicians. So, our site was re-designed to be more user-friendly,” she said. “In addition to the updated design and navigation features, the new site is easier to view on mobile devices like smartphones and tablets.”

Community members are invited to explore SRMC’s re-designed website at www.salemregional.com to learn more about the hospital’s state-of-the-art services, physicians, outreach offices, events, careers and giving opportunities through the SRMC Foundation. The site also offers maps and directions, hospital publications, online bill pay and a patient portal for SRMC patients to securely access portions of their electronic health records. For questions or to provide feedback on SRMC’s new website use the “Contact Us” link located on the site’s homepage.
