Columbiana Speech Team qualifies 19 for state

The Columbiana Speech Team will send 19 qualifiers to the Ohio Speech and Debate Association (OSDA) state tournament on Feb. 28-March 2 in Canton. Students qualified by placing high and receiving four or more bids throughout the course of the season or by placing in the district tournament at Canfield on Feb. 2. Qualifying in Duo Interpretation are Hudson Hartley and Allison Kyle; Julia Hum and Trinity Strohecker; and Katie Crisp and Lily Marsco. Qualifying in Humorous Interpretation are Noah Clark and Nate Burnell. Qualifying in Informative Speaking are Mary Nyers, Delanie Burnell and Zoe Finsley. Qualifying in Program Oral Interpretation are Tessa Steiginga, Roman Booth and Klara Crisp. Qualifying in Original Oratory are Monique Cobbin and Gabby Vivo. Qualifying in International Extemp are Emily DuBois and Sam Davis. Qualifying in United States Extemp is Evan Gallo.
