Tai Ji classes

SALEM– Salem Public Library will offer a 12-week series of Tai Ji classes to be held from 9 to 10 a.m. Wednesdays June 5 through Aug. 21 in Pavilion #2 in Centennial Park. The classes will be taught by Master Doug Nybell, owner of Crystal Dragon Family Martial Arts in Columbiana.

Tai Ji is Chinese Martial Art that promotes good health when practiced regularly. It is low impact with gentle, flowing movements that can even be beneficial to individuals with some physical limitations.

The classes are free of cost to attend and suitable for adults of all ages. Registration is required and may be done online at www.salem.lib.oh.us or by calling the library at 330-332-0042 for registration assistance and more information.

Clothing attire should be loose fitting and comfortable to provide ease of motion. Comfortable shoes with adequate support should be worn.

SHS Alumni Assoc. to hold yard sale

SALEM–A two-day Yard Sale is being held from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 7 and 8 at 1177 N. Lincoln Ave., Salem (corner of Lincoln and Sunset; entrance off Sunset). It is being run by the Salem High School Class of 69 50-year Reunion Committee. All proceeds will go directly towards the class’s gift to the Salem Alumni Association Scholarship Fund.

Donations from community residents for the sale would be greatly appreciated. People may drop off items anytime at the door off the parking lot. Call Ginny Edling Eudy at 234-564-9531 for further details.

SPL June 10 craft will be friend cards

SALEM–The craft for the June 10 class will be creating a friendship card for someone in your life who has helped you get over life’s “bumps in the road.” All materials will be furnished for this adult craft class that will meet from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the Salem Public Library Quaker Room. Skill level is beginner.
