“Leaving Iowa” to open at Salem Communty Theatre
SALEM– The Salem Community Theatre will present “Leaving Iowa” at 7:30 p.m. June 14,15, 21 and 22, and 2 p.m. June 16 and 23. The critically-acclaimed play by Tim Clue and Spike Manton is a hilarious, family-friendly comedy that is a toast to the idealism and character of parents from the “greatest generation,” and a little roast of their dedication to the family road trip. Program to feature lives of people of Nepal
SALEM–Doug Smith, a former Guilford Lake resident, will present a program with a different perspective of the Mt. Everest area of the Himalayan Mountains featuring not only views of the natural beauty of the region, but also a look at the lives of the Nepali people. The presentation will be held at 6:30 p.m. today in the Adult Reading Room of the Salem Public Library.
