4-H grant provides picnic tables

A 4-H community service project came to a close recently as eight picnic tables made by eight different 4-H clubs were delivered to the county fairgrounds. The project was led by the Hicks & Hayseeds 4-H Club from Hanoverton with money they received from a grant from America’s Farmers Grow Communities and the Bayer Fund. Hanoverton farmer, Joe Bernet, won the $2,500 grant and then designated the Hicks & Hayseeds as the recipient. Table supplies were purchased and clubs across the county built the tables. Clubs that participated in the table building included Can Do Country Kids, Circle 62, Farmer’s Pride, Rowdy Wranglers, X-treme Country Farmers, Junior Workers, Barnyard Buddies and Lone Rangers. Shown are the tables that were installed at the county fairgrounds. (Submitted photos)
