Poet from Salem to read work Thursday
SALEM–Kathleen Strafford, a poet living in the UK, formerly from Salem, has had her second collection of poetry published by Yaffle Press called Wilderness of Skin. Strafford graduated from Kent State University in 1998, and moved to England where she earned an MA in creative writing. She has been published in many webzines and anthologies, and has performed on numerous radio programs in the UK and Summit Radio in Akron. Strafford is the chief editor of Runcible Spoon webzine, and holds open mics in Morley Leeds, and Lib’s Market in Salem. She will be performing her poetry and signing books on Aug. 22 at Liebe Wein (wine bar) on East State Street.
