WR Rangers share projects at style show
BERLIN CENTER–The highlight of the August 4-H meeting of Western Reserve Rangers 4-H Club was a style show presented by members of the club. The audience was invited to come to the Canfield Fair on Saturday, Aug. 31 to view the Mahoning County 4-H Style Revue on the main concourse stage in front of the grandstand. The show will begin at 11 am.
Club treasurer Natalia Kresic was recognized for winning two First Place Trophies at the Ohio State Fair for her 4-H projects “Make Over My Space” and “Your Thoughts Matter.” The following club members were chosen to represent Mahoning County at the Ohio State Fair in their respective projects: Abby Schors for “Dress Up Formal Wear,” Alaina Courtright for “Sew for Others,” Natalia Kresic for “Clothes for High School and College,” Evelyn Collier for “Loungewear” and Lilly Hepburn for “You Can Quilt.”
Selected as Ohio State Fair Alternates were: Avery Mountian for “Sundresses and Jumpers,” Abby Schors for “Look Great for Less,” Kayla Sharfal for “You Can Quilt” and Isabel Schors for “Dress Up Formal Wear.” County Awards were presented to Alaina Courtright for “Self Determined: Music,” Thomas Collier for “Creative Costumes” and Olivia Haid for “Outerwear for Anywhere.” Livestock members shared why they enjoyed raising and showing large animals.
Members and parents signed up to assist with the club’s educational booth at the Canfield Fair. Plans for a Second Annual Fall Harvest Party on Oct. 10 were discussed.
The next regular meeting of the Rangers 4-H Club will be held at 7 p.m. Nov. 14 in the Ellsworth Fire Hall.
