Museum open on Tuesdays

WINONA–The Winona Area Historical Society Museum will be open from 9 a.m. to noon each Tuesday in October.

Visitors are welcome at the 1838 Meeting House/Museum, handicap accessible, at the corner of Winona Road and Cameron Street. The 1895 Quaker Meeting House is also available to visitors.

CCCTC conferences Thursday

LISBON–The Columbiana County Career and Technical Center will hold its 2019-2020 first semester parent teacher conferences from 2:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Call 330-424-9561 and select “0” for the operator to schedule appointments with a student’s teachers.

Cafe to offer health shots

WINONA– The Columbiana County Health Department will be at the Senior Moments Cafe luncheon at 12:30 p.m. Oct. 9 at The Winona Friends Family Life Center.

Flu shots, pneumonia shots and shingles shots will be available according to insurance coverage. All individuals 55 years and older are welcome.

Park in the large lot.

‘Ichabod Crane’ to speak

SALEM– The Salem Historical Society’s meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday will feature Chris Hart who will portray Ichabod Crane as seen in Sleepy Hollow.

History Comes to Life is a venture that enables Hart to combine two areas of personal interest– history and story telling. Appearing in costume Hart will bring to life the story of Sleepy Hollow.

As always, the meeting is open to the public and held in the Dale Shaffer Library meeting room. Entrance is off South Lundy Avenue with parking in the Timberlane’s parking lot.

Greeter will be David Hughes. Hosts will be David Shivers and Kevin Schafer.
