Afternoon R-Weigh holds meeting
SALEM-The Afternoon R-Weigh group met Nov. 4. Leader Jo Anne Bogdan called the meeting to order. She led the R-Weigh prayer and Evelyn Pete chose song #22, “My Darling Clementine.” Some information was gathered regarding Olive Garden catering. The group had six group 1 members weighing in with a 6 pound loss and seven goalies weighed in. Our good loser was Rhonda Brown was the good loser, Anna Kurtz runner up and Ellene Dole honorable mention. Calorie chart winners were Ellene Dole and Anna Kurtz, goal winners were Sue Carver and Sylvia Eller. There were no Can Do winners for group 1, so next week it will be $6. The goal winner was Sylvia Eller. Rachel Weaver’s children came to her house to do some yard work for her and to take a tree down. Her grandson later presented her with a very nice gift, he took a chunk of her tree, shaped it down and sanded it and made a “pedestal stand.” He grooved the outside edge on top and got her a dome so when she has a tea party she has a place to put her pastries. So very thoughtful of him to make this for her, she loved her tree and now she has a piece of it forever. Anyone interested in attending the meetings can call 330-337-3915 for information. Or feel free to stop in from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Mondays at the First Friends Church on Jennings Ave.
