SALEM – In support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Continuing Healthcare Solutions of Lisbon and Blossom Nursing and Rehabilitation Center presented Salem Regional Medical Center’s (SRMC) Foundation with a donation of care items to benefit patients receiving cancer treatment locally at SRMC. The items were purchased with $4,783 in proceeds raised by a Purse Bingo Fundraiser in August.

“We are thankful for this opportunity to partner with these organizations, and greatly appreciate their donation of wig caps, personal hygiene supplies, apparel, puzzles, journals, videos, CDs and gift cards for local dining,” said Amy Reed, SRMC director of development. “All of these items will remain in our community to help bring comfort to our patients as they undergo cancer treatment at SRMC.”

SRMC’s Foundation raises funds to support patient services and programs at Salem Regional Medical Center, with 100 percent of all proceeds used to benefit area patients. Area organizations interested in sponsoring a fundraiser to benefit the SRMC Foundation can call Reed at 330-337-2883 or e-mail foundation@salemregional.com.
