SAlem — St. Paul Catholic Church’s second annual Winter Fest held today at Scullion Hall at St. Paul Catholic School on East State Street.

SAlem — God’s Quad Quartet will be in concert at 6 p.m. Sunday at the Zion Hill Church of the Brethren in Columbiana. This is a free concert open to the public.

SALEM — Banquet in Salem is Monday from 5-7 p.m. at the Memorial Building. Menu includes Pizza Hut pizza, vegetable soup, tossed salad, fresh vegetables, fresh fruit and dessert.

DAMASCUS — “A Service of Lessons and Carols” will be held Sunday at 10:30 a.m. the First Presbyterian Church of Salem. Includes collection of Advent and Christmas carols, based on the traditional English service of Lessons and Carols, presented by the Haviland Choir. Open to the public.

YOUNGSTOWN — Holiday Concert of Giving featuring the Stambaugh Chorus and Youngstown Area Community Concert Band will be held today at 4 p.m. at Stambaugh Auditorium.

COLUMBIANA — A Blue Christmas, Special worship service for those who struggle with the holiday will be held at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at The HUB at First Presbyterian Church, 28 E. Park Ave.

SALEM — The First Presbyterian Church of Salem will present “A Service of Lessons and Carols,” featuring the music of John Rutter, during the 10:30 a.m. service Sunday. The Lessons and Carols service is a collection of Advent and Christmas carols, based on the traditional English service of Lessons and Carols, presented by the Haviland Choir. The choir will be accompanied by an instrumental ensemble, including flutes, oboe, clarinets, trumpets, horns, trombones, tuba, piano and percussion. Nancy McNeal, church organist, will accompany the choir. Cheryl and Gary Kekel will perform “Come, Thou Long Expected Jesus” during the service. Director of Music at First Presbyterian is John Krauss. This special service is open to the general public.

CANFIELD — Calla Community Church, 6482 W. Calla Road, will be hold its annual cookie walk at 10 a.m. today. The sale will continue until the cookies are sold out. (They usually go fast, be there at 10 a.m. for the best selection.) There will be no early sales. The price of the cookies will be $5 per dozen. The funds that are raised will go to continue the Calla Church mission work. For information call the church at 330-533-6007.

NORTH LIMA — Good Hope Lutheran Church, 12030 Market St., is hosting a blue Christmas worship. Blue Christmas services include an emphasis on candles with people invited to come forward and light a candle in memory of someone or to mark an event in their lives. Christmas Eve candlelight worship services will be held at 7 and 11 p.m. The prelude will begin at 6:30 p.m. and include musicians, vocalists and a bell choir. Public is invited to attend.

NORTH LIMA — A breakfast buffet will be served from 7-10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 28 at the North Lima Mennonite Church. Donations will be accepted. Buffet items include eggs, pancakes, french toast, sausage, potatoes, homemade pastries, sausage gravy and biscuits, peppers and mushrooms, coffee, orange juice and other beverages.
