Celebrity Chefs sought for annual

Feed the Pantry Fat Tuesday event

SALEM– The Salem Community Center, Salem Rotary Club and Salem Kiwanis Club will once again host the ever-popular fundraiser Fat Tuesday celebration “Feed the Salem Community Pantry.”

The event will be held from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 25, at the Salem Community Center. Tickets are available for a suggested donation of $10 each (children ages 10 and under are free) at the Salem Community Center, or from a Rotary or Kiwanis member, beginning Jan. 24. All proceeds will go to the Salem Community Pantry.

The event features over 30 local individuals known as the Celebrity Chefs, who donate and/or serve prepared food items for participants to sample. Those interested in being a Celebrity Chef may contact Mindy Kenreigh at the Salem Community Center. The deadline to reserve a table is Monday, Feb. 17. Chefs are asked to provide their own warming device (non-electric) and a server for the table. However, those who cannot provide a server, and would like to make a donation, will be provided a server for their table. A sign with name, or the name of business, will also be displayed on the chef tables.

East Goshen Friends Church January Messy Church to feature Faith message

BELOIT– East Goshen Friends Church, 16800 state Route 165, will host its monthly Messy Church from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday entitled Strong Faith. Messy Church is an all age worship experience that explores God’s love in an accessible way. This month participants will create, learn and celebrate together with a focus on building faith. St. Paul Church Confirmation Class

to sponsor Banquet in Salem Monday

SALEM– St. Paul Church’s Confirmation Class will sponsor the Banquet in Salem form 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at the Salem Memorial Building. The menu will include wedding soup, roast beef, mashed potatoes and gravy, California blend vegetables, salad, fresh vegetables, fresh fruit and dessert.
